หนังสือ แบงค์สเกตช์กรรม ตอน โซ่ตรวนแห่งกรรม ถือกำเนิดขึ้น เพราะสาเหตุแห่งกรรมที่ผมได้กระทำเอาไว้ตั้งแต่ชาติปางก่อน และหากคุณอ่านมันจนจบ คุณก็จะรับรู้ว่าผมก็มีกรรมเหมือนกันไม่ต่างอะไรจากพวกคุณเลย...

เพราะผมก็เป็นแค่เพียงคนธรรมดาคนหนึ่ง ที่ใครๆก็มองว่ามีความสามารถพิเศษติดตัวมา แต่จะมีใครรู้บ้างว่าผมก็มี “กรรม” ติดตามมาไม่ต่างกัน แม้ผู้จรจากไป... ผลกรรมย่อมตามส่ง ไม่จะว่าอยู่ภพภูมิใด... กรรมจะตามไปเอาคืน ไม่มีใครหนีพ้นจาก “บ่วงโซ่แห่งกรรม”

กรรม คือ การกระทำมีทั้งกรรมดีและกรรมชั่ว เมื่อกระทำไปแล้วก่อให้เกิดผลแห่งกรรม ซึ่งผลแห่งกรรมนี้อาจส่งผลในภพนี้ ภพหน้าหรือภพต่อๆ ไป หรืออาจจะไม่เกิดเลยถ้าได้รับการอโหสิกรรม แล้วเราจะรู้ได้อย่างไรว่าเคยทำอะไรกับใครไว้บ้าง ลองอ่านหนังสือเล่มนี้ดูแล้วคุณจะรู้ว่า จะชาตินี้หรือชาติหน้าก็ไม่พ้น “กฎแห่งกรรม”

when I met first met Ajahn K. Bank in Bangkok and he did a Karmic reading for me by asking me to crumple up a piece of paper and then he proceeded to interpret my past lives from that crumpled paper, the Doctor in me sat shaking his head in disbelief while the adept in me nodded in acceptance and understanding of all that he said. And from that initial and – as some would say, chance– encounter, here I am being asked to author the Foreword to his book!

I began this preamble by saying that I was drawn to Buddhism, so how is it that I who was not born to this belief should suddenly find myself being asked to speak for it? The humble convert and supplicant now finds himself the awkward advocate; the student still eager to read the last chapter instead finds himself the author of the Foreword.

Somewhere, half a world away, I think a butterfly is laughing at me…
